When Scaling Your Company Is Breaking You

The company is growing but you feel worse. The team is bigger, and you go home most nights drained without being able to point to what you actually did. I scaled through that exact stretch and misread it for a long time. It is not a sign you are failing. It is a sign the way you run the company has reached its limit.

What built the company may now be the thing holding it back. And usually, that thing is tied to you.

The symptoms founders miss

Every decision feels heavier than it should. You are in every meeting. You hired strong people and cannot stop second-guessing them. You are busier than ever and less sure what you actually contributed. These are not time-management problems. They are signs the habits that worked before no longer serve you nor the company.

Why delegation has not fixed it

You have tried to delegate. You read the books, drew the org chart, hired the senior people. If changes outwardly are not holding and yielding the results you envision, I invite you to look within with an executive coach and find what is truly underneath that is shaping the reality for the company and for yourself.

What actually has to change

I don’t know yet, you don’t know yet. But together we go into a depth that would be challenging to venture alone. It may involve an identity shift, and it is uncomfortable, yet highly rewarding for this one beautiful life you live. The work is learning to lead from a different place.
